Well it s being two weeks since varsity is opened, but I still don't know my new classmates well (btw I failed, so I m studying with 1st grades instead of 2nds :P) it s probably because I m in charge of only three lessons -lessons that I failed- and one optional subject this semestre, so less time to hang on in campus.
So I faced the danger of being a hermit who roams around alone, again and I must immediately find a solution to that, I gotta socialize, man!
Should be easy :p
In my first year of uni nobody knows anybody, so everyone's feeling a little guarded and apprehensive, but at the same time forcing themselves onto new people.
In my view try to be chatty as possible, maybe starting off with where you live and where you come from, and ease yourself into more interesting topics like games, interests and shit. Maybe try a couple of social groups that you're prob into, like gaming or animation, for a couple of weeks.
I'm in my 4th year at uni, and I live with 4 of my coursemates, one who's my girlfriend. It's easier and more useful in uni to meet people who'll you'll spend lots of time with.
Finally, ignore what I've wrote and don't take it to heart. Be yourself, but take it slowly.
haha u kno wha? i got kicked from friend groups becuz of being a chatterbox XD but yeah, being quiet isnt good too, i think i gotta find the optimum spot XD
